【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcovershigh-strengthlow-alloysteelplatesforserviceinweldedpressurevesselsandpipingcomponents.1.2Thismaterialisparticularlyintendedforpipingandpressurevesselapplicationswherehighstrengthandimprovedtoughnessarerequired.1.3Twogrades,designatedBandC,arecoveredbythisspecification.GradeBprovidesaminimumyieldstrengthof50ksi[345MPa].GradeCprovidesaminimumyieldstrengthof60ksi[415MPa].1.4Themaximumthicknessofplatesislimitedonlybythecapacityofthechemicalcompositionandheattreatmenttomeetthespecifiedmechanicalpropertyrequirements;however,currentpracticenormallylimitsthemaximumthicknessto4in.[100mm]foreachgrade.1.5GradeCintheas-rolledconditionissensitivetocrackingduringflamecutting,transit,andhandling,particularlyinthicknessesover2in.[50mm].Platesshouldnotbeshippedintheas-rolledconditiononlyexceptbymutualagreementbetweenthemanufacturerandthepurchaser.1.6Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.
